I grew up in Oliver but left there in 1977 to join the military. I lived at the base of what you were calling Oliver Mountain which we just called the Rock cliff. In PE in school we used to run up that trail. The spit at Haynes Point was not put there, although it is used to determine water levels. The two crossings of Osoyoos Lake are actually what gave it the name Osoyoos (oh-SUE-yis), which means something like crossing of the waters in the local language. I know it's been a while since you released this video, but driving by the White Lake Radio telescope is pretty cool.

That's pretty cool, we do like it down there. And yes, I misunderstood, but thanks for not beating me up about my mistake. I hope to visit again soon!

It was about 30 minutes or so to the lookout, it's not a long hike. We went early in the year when it was still chilly so I can't say about the rattle snakes or mosquitos.

You guys are where? Soy Sauce? Soy Sauce isn't a natural desert. A natural desert doesn't have fruit fields or wineries. A desert would be too have to have those things. To see a natural desert, you must leave Soy Sauce, BC, Canada, and go to the United States, California, and the Mojave Desert to experience a hot, dry desert.

Desert is an arid region characterised by extremely high or low temperatures and has scarce vegetation. Not all deserts are the same. But you're right, there are much more desert-y deserts. Have you seen the Sahara?
